One of the most creative voices in hip-hop, Aminé shakes the culture every time he releases a new song. Several weeks ago, he came through with "Shimmy" as his official return to the game and now, the Portland rapper is back with a new single titled "Riri."
"You love Rihanna but you ain't a savage," starts Aminé on his new record, describing a girl he's been rocking with for a minute. However, their relationship hasn't always been peachy. In the chorus, the recording artist says that she's broken his heart three times before they went their separate ways.
Aminé tells a story that many can relate to, dropping lyrical gems every once in a while to keep the listener's brain sharp. The track closes with an outro from comedian Jak Knight, known for his work on Black-ish.
