R&B continues to do well on the sales charts, and as expected Alicia KeysGirl On Fire debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

It was projected that her album would move anywhere from 150k-175k units, and her sales have fallen about in the middle of those numbers with 161k in its first week of sales.

She follows Rihanna, whose 7th studio album debuted at No. 1 for the first time in her career.  This is Miss Keys’ fifth album, and while it tops the charts, it is a far cry from the 417k units her last album, The Element Of Freedom, sold in its first week back in 2009.
