In 2017, Atlanta had a foot planted firmly on the neck of the hip-hop game, and the Quality Control record label played a large role in affirming some Southern dominance. Home to Migos, Lil Yachty, Lil Baby, Coack K & Pee's indie label helped shape and define a sound, much in the same way Ruff Ryders did in the late nineties. Quality Control is now responsible for one of rap's largest acts, and Migos only seem to be getting bigger with time. Suffice it to say, 2018 seems likely to be a great year for the Quality Control family. Luckily, they aren't quite finished with 2017 just yet.

The label has been teasing an upcoming compilation album, which will feature Migos' hit single "To Hotty," as well as Lil Baby, Quavo, Moneybagg Yo, and Kodak Black's "That's My Dawg Remix." It will also feature an abundance of new Lil Yachty, who is said to have a strong presence on the project. And while singles have been dropping for a minute now, it appears that the project finally has a concrete release date, as provided by none other than Akademiks. On his YouTube channel, Ak reveals that Quality Control will be dropping their compilation tape on Friday, December 8th.

Akademiks also revealed that the album will feature appearances from Nicki Minaj and 2 Chainz, who was recently supposed to appear on Eminem's forthcoming Revival. We still don't have a concrete tracklist, but if you're a fan of Quality Control's vibe, you should mark your calendars.
