Aesop Rock has kept busy over the last couple of years, releasing collaborative albums with folk artist Kimya Dawson as The Uncluded, as well as a project as part of rap supergroup Hail Mary Mallon, for which he provided the majority of the production. However, we haven't got an Aesop solo record since 2012's "Skeleton", but with two songs impacting today, we may very well be seeing another full length soon.
"Bug Zapper" pairs Rock's wordy intensity with some futuristic funk (the instrumental provided by Aesop himself), sounding more welcome than ever in the wake of RTJ2's 2014 slap in the face. Let's hope we hear more soon.
