Per Adidas:

"Chinese New Year is a day to gather with friends, fam, old spirits, and new.” said Huang. “Open your doors, open your windows, sweep out last year's luck and welcome in the new. As an overseas Taiwanese-Chinese, my favorite part of Chinese New Year has always been introducing our culture and values to friends. With adidas, I wanted to honor Chinese New Year in a way that resonates will all generations. The Ultraboost is meant to commemorate the holiday in a modern way.”
