The world of sneakers was defined in 2018 by the "dad shoe" trend. Chunky midsoles and some wacky upper designs turned out to be all the rage last year and that trend has continued to spill into 2019. Kanye West is partially to blame for all of this tanks to the Yeezy 700 and 500's. Regardless, it seems as though everybody really loves this new look and sneaker companies are taking full advantage of it by coming out with new models or bringing back old sneakers from the archives. Adidas is one of those companies that has fully embraced the dad shoe trend and with the new Ozweego Neoprene, the brand is paying homage to the Ozweego running line that was popular in the 1990s.

In some of the first images released, we are seeing an all-black colorway with some reflective details throughout. There is some wavy tooling on the upper and chunky midsole that just screams "dad shoe." It's a pretty sleek looking sneaker and looks even better on-foot. When these do eventually release, they could be a nice entry point for those looking to get in on one of the biggest trends of the last year.

There is no official release date just yet but expect these to hit retailers in time for the Spring.
