Adidas today introduced the Harden PENSOLE, a shoe co-created with the designers of tomorrow, which will release in limited pairs today via Adidas.com.

Adidas partnered with YouTube Red and PENSOLE for a unique project titled "Lace Up: The Ultimate Sneaker Challenge." It’s the first-ever unscripted competition series where 12 aspiring footwear creators from around the world battled it out to design, develop and produce the next great sneaker with the top three designers landing jobs at adidas and making a shoe for James Harden.

Inspired by the muse of “The Amazing Hardini” – celebrating Harden’s unique ability to create as an "unguardable magician on the court" – the Harden PENSOLE edition features a shrouded upper with premium leather detailing that sits on full-length Bounce cushioning.

The winning design was created by Team Nu Black: Zeneta Horne (footwear designer), Andre Mayo (brand designer) and Vince Lebon (color materials)
