Houston Rockets All-Star shooting guard James Harden is one of three finalists in the running for the 2018 NBA MVP Award, along with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Despite what LeBron has done for the Cavs, and the way Anthony Davis carried the Pelicans in DeMarcus Cousins' absence, The Beard appears to be the favorite to take home the hardware.

As such, Adidas already has a special edition "MVP" shoe in the works in honor of Harden's 2017-18 campaign. Additionally, this never before seen sneaker serves as a nod to some of Harden's previous accomplishments.

The shoe, which comes dressed in black with gold accents and a blue inner lining, references everything from Harden's High School American achievements in California, to his First Team All-American and PAC 10 Player of the Year honors at Arizona State University, and his Sixth Man of the Year Award during his time with the OKC Thunder. The kicks also include gold "MVP" lace dubraes and lace tips.

It's unclear when the kicks will release but we're sure it won't come before June 25th, when the NBA MVP and other award winners are announced at the second annual NBA Awards show on TNT. Check out the other finalists for the six major awards here.
