Compton's AD finished off 2017 with the release of his underrated Blue 89 C2, which featured appearances from Busta RhymesWiz Khalifa, RJ & Maxo Kream. If you like West Coast hip-hop, it's a project you should definitely check out; in fact, the album even opens with a co-sign from none other than Kendrick Lamar. And while it's been less than a month since AD's latest dropped, he's already back with another banger, the Lettuce By The Pound produced "I Ain't Playin'." And no, this isn't an album b-side. AD makes references to 2018 throughout the cut, sliding effortlessly over airy synths and g-funk bass synths.

As the track progresses, AD switches up the flow, spitting double time to close things out. It's an impressive display from one of the West Coast's most promising, and marks the beginning of another successful year for AD. Quotable Lyrics

Still a kid at heart I play Nintendo Switch
I ain't got a heart I still rescind a bitch
Killas on the corner got extendo clips
Duckin' from the government I'm saggin' with the limo tint
