Child star Aaron Carter sang his way into the hearts of millions back in the year 2000 when he dropped his hit single "I Want Candy," a track that he would later perform at Michael Jackson’s anniversary celebration at Madison Square Garden. Carter developed a friendship with Jackson and throughout the years has been questioned about the late singer due to accusations from others regarding alleged sexual abuse. In 2004 the singer, whose brother is Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, was in his late teens and told PEOPLE, "Michael and I have been friends for three years...Nothing happened between me and Michael. We didn’t sleep in the same room, we didn’t share a bed. We have a normal friendship. There’s nothing sexual to it."
Carter hadn't deviated from that narrative until recently following HBO's Leaving Neverland documentary. It's been revealed that the entertainer will be a cast member on the next season of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition and he's speaking on his relationship with Jackson. In a green-screen interview clip from the show, Carter explains, "Michael was a really good guy, as far as I know, a really good guy. He never did anything that was inappropriate," before adding, "Except for one time. There was one thing that he did that was a little bit inappropriate."
Back in April, Carter promised to talk more about his "experience" with the music icon. "To be honest, after seeing everyone’s story unfold, I was a little aggressive when I talked about it at first. I mean, everyone has their own stories and everyone has their own situations so I can’t really take away from that," he told TMZ. “In regards to that situation, I actually have my own experience that happened with Michael, so I'mma be talking about that in the future."
