After an excruciating week for most hip-hop fans, a reminder of hope arrived last night in the form of a new album from A Tribe Called Quest, We Got It from Here... Thank You 4 Your Service, which is the group's first project in almost two decades. Today, the Tribe has given a new animated lyric video to "We the People....", the second track on the album. The animated video brings the famous drawn female figure from The Low End Theory cover -- who reappears on the We Got It From Here... artwork -- to life, and it maintains the red, black, and green color scheme that the Tribe is known for. Sometimes lyric videos seem like a cop out, but this one stays true to ATCQ's enduring aesthetic, and it drives home the very relevant socio-political message of "We the People....".
