A Tribe Called Quest recently paid a visit to Sway in the Morning to talk about their new capsule collection with Pharrell's Billionaire Boys Club and their Grammy snub off their last album We Got It From Here… Thank You 4 Your Service.

Ali and Consequence were the two members present and although they've exhausted their opinion many times last year on not going home with a golden statue, they now speak on the significance of the album being Phife Dawg's last.

“That was his last effort on Earth,” Consequence says about Phife. “I want you to understand the magnitude of that. What happens so many times with black people, is that we come up with notions why other brothers and sisters shouldn’t be celebrated. Ain’t no notion for that shit. They fucked up. Anybody who comes back 18 years after a hiatus and performs the year before, naturally you would assume that I should have something on my mantle in 12 months.”

When the team first lashed out on their snub, Grammys Chair Emeritus Jimmy Jam said their performance was considered as a prize. “To say that the group performed and that should be your consolation prize, I think is very disrespectful to the art that you put forth," Ali said.
