From the outside looking in, there were a few people who were wondering about the future of 88GLAM. There were speculations that they broke up and the release of their next project, Close To Heaven Far From God, was shelved. Though those rumors were partially addressed, Close To Heaven Far From God was nowhere to be found.

After announcing a new mixtape titled New Mania, 88GLAM served up the first single off of the project just days before its release. "Dance For Me" hit streaming services this afternoon. With 8-bit synths leading the production, the duo's auto-tuned vocals gloss over the 808s. Derek Wise and 88CAMINO deliver big flexes and veiled threats with through their drug-fueled banger.

The interesting part about this song is it's the first since rumors that they've parted ways from XO surfaced. Though no one's confirmed this yet, this song was released independently and not through XO, according to Spotify.
