The first artist to be showcased as part of Apple Music's Up Next series is Atlanta's 6LACK. For the promotional campaign, Apple will host a short documentary on 6LACK, an audio EP taken from one of his live sessions, and an in-depth interview between him and Beats 1's Zane Lowe. Apple has also teamed up with The Late Late Show with James Corden for a series of live performances from the Up Next participants. Earlier this week, 6LACK made his late-night TV debut on Corden with a performance of his biggest hit, "PRBLMS."

6LACK has moved mysteriously and out of the spotlight during his rapid ascent. He now stands as one of hip-hop's hottest new acts, following his major label debut, November's Free 6LACK. His style -- a blend of trap and R&B -- as well as his quiet but impressive rise to prominence is similar to what Bryson Tiller brought to the industry with Trapsoul in 2015. Tiller also benefitted from a partnership with Apple Music.
