If there's one person who's stuck by Tekashi 6ix9ine's side since he began popping off, it's DJ Akademiks. Over the past few months, the two of them have developed a bromance that's been shown on their Instagram pages and interviews. 6ix9ine even made a cameo in Lil Ak's debut single, "Blues Clue." However, their friendship seems to stem past rap as Akademiks has apparently paid off 6ix9ine's $25K debt to a jeweler over a bracelet.
After 6ix9ine's jeweler called him out for an unpaid debt over a $25K bracelet, the "Kooda" rapper confronted him over FaceTime. The jeweler, TraxNYC, hit Instagram shortly after to reveal the $25K bill that was paid off. While the post has since been deleted, TraxNYC thanked Akademiks for paying off the debt.
"THANK YOU AKADEMIKS FOR PAYING YOUR BOYS BILL AND MAKING HIM FT ME! NO L'S I GOT MY 25,000," he wrote. "TELL YOUR BOY 6IX9INE TO POST THE WHOLE VIDEO! PUT THE PART WHERE YOU CALLED ME ASKING ME WHY I HAD TO POST VIDEO UP YOU SHOULD HAVE JUST CALLED ME."
6ix9ine had to chime in to the comment section and wrote, "He literally is giving you a chain for this publicity."
6ix9ine confronted the jeweler over making a bill of $25K after he said that he wanted 6ix9ine to promo his business. However, this whole fiasco comes across as a whole publicity stunt.
