For better or for worse, Tekashi 6ix9ine's been one of the most talked about rappers in the game, especially among the newcomers. While he's been delivering hit after hit, the controversy surrounding his name made it difficult for him to land on some of the big stages (i.e. Summer Jam). This past weekend, he performed on his first major festival stage at Made In America. Shortly after, he took a trek back to NYC to perform a private show for the wife of famous attorney, Thomas J. Henry.
After performing in front of thousands of kids at Budweiser's Made In America festival, Tekashi 6ix9ine performed in front of 90 people for Texas mogul Thomas J. Henry's wife, PageSix reports. The rapper performed in front of the small crowd at a private party in 1Oak in Manhattan. Henry has a reputation for dropping big bucks on parties. He previously threw himself a $4.5M birthday party with DJ Khaled and Cardi B as performers. Additionally, he dropped $6M for her quinceañera and brought Nick Jonas and Pitbull as performers.
While the rainbow-haired rapper has been performing private parties and festivals, his legal battle in his child sex case is still looming over him. Yesterday, it was reported that he filed documents to the judge asking to let him off with four years of probation instead of 1-3 years in prison. 6ix9ine's expected back in court next month.
