With over 15 years in the music industry, 50 Cent has seen a lot of change, and he's been taking notes. In a new interview with the Breakfast Club, 50 was asked about what approach his mentor Eminem should take when it comes to releasing new music. According to Fif, operating in today's hip-hop world, Em could probably stand to up his visibility a little bit.

"You know what I want him to do, I just want him to come out," he said. "Because Em is like, he's from the period where not being available sustained your energy, and I don't think that that's necessarily how you have to sustain it now."

Eminem, more than ever, has been known to disappear between album cycles. He also doesn't have much of a social media presence. These things matter when it comes to promo, argues Fif. "As long as you stay current with things that are in front of you to sustain your relevance, you can just be there and people see you," he said. "The visibility will make you matter, versus when you go away now, you gotta re-excite me completely."

While it hasn't been officially announced, Eminem is expected to release a new album this fall. We've already heard a few rumors about it. He may have a collaboration with Pink in the works. Dr. Dre is said to be involved. 2 Chainz worked on a record that could appear on the album. With all that being said, Eminem himself has been pretty reclusive as reports come in.

The thing is, the hands-off approach has worked for him in the past. The Marshall Mathers LP II debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and went on to become the second-highest selling album of 2013, despite Em not having much of a public presence. We've also seen acts like Frank Ocean do extremely well for themselves with similar strategies.

We recently wrote up everything we know about Eminem's impending 9th studio album in a feature. Read it here.
