50 Cent compares "Power" to BMF, says Black Mafia Family is "just better."
50 Cent is out here making more money than we can comfortably count. His countless projects include crime drama Power, thriller Den of Thieves, and underwear line Frigo. Fiddy took to his social media today to exclaim that, despite the constant promotion he pulls for his foray into film and television, the true story of BMF's Big Meech and Southwest T is more compelling than the fictional crime show Power will ever be. 50 posted a tribute to BMF today, captioning the image, "POWER is great but this BMF shit is just better, I’m sorry for the wait but when you see this your gonna be blown away True Story. #denofthieves #power."
To an extent, Fif has a point. Power is a scripted television program and, while it is most definitely fascinating, true stories tend to garner more interest because of their instant relatability and authentic nature. Big Meech and the Black Mafia Family were really out there hustling and ended up paying the price for their crimes. With the post, 50 confirms that he's still working on the production of a BMF show, which has been rumored for a while.
While the date of the premiere and production details are up in the air, the anticipation is growing with 50's claims that it is better than Power. Time will tell when, and if, we see a depiction of Big Meech and Southwest T on the small screen but we know that 50 is more than capable of pulling off the show.
