Though his reputation of late has been nothing short of cold blooded, rapper-turned-Power-star 50 Cent recently revealed his long dormant soft side. Taking a break from his brutal yet brotherly feud with Floyd Mayweather, Fif hit his usual stomping grounds of Instagram with an altogether different purpose. 50 uploaded a pair of images of the late Chicago rapper Fredo Santana, one of which depicts him as a pinstripe clad gangster circa 1920. Alongside the pictures, 50 penned a eulogy of sorts, addressing his interpretation of Fredo's inner struggle.

"R.I.P to Fredo I wanted to put him on Tv bad, we all have demons but he look like one some times. It was just what they went through in (Chicago)," writes 50.  "I’m not working for money. I don’t see shit I want that I can’t buy. I’m working so I can do what I want, when I want. so I don’t have to write shit like this." Though far from saccharine, the homage is pure 50, even managing to throw in a boast and a "get the strap" for good measure.

It's unclear what spurred this moment of reflection, but it should be noted that Fredo's birthday went down at the beginning of July; he would have been twenty-eight. As for 50, the man continues to move through life expanding his portfolio, having recently landed Kendrick Lamar for a memorable Power guest spot. RIP Fredo.
