The strained relationship between 50 Cent and his son Marquise Jackson has been played out in the media for years. The father and son have exchanged vicious insults on social media and in interviews, but still, there are those that hold out hope that Fif and his firstborn will reconcile. In an Instagram Live interview with Van Lathan for XXL, 50 Cent was asked about his relationship with Marquise and if there was a chance of them reuniting one day.

"It is sad, it's a sad situation," Fif said. "When you pray for success, you don't necessarily pray for the things that come with it. It's no such thing as success without jealousy, without envy or entitlement... His mom developed an entitlement that cannot be met, filtering that energy through his actual personal interests." Fif gave an example of his son wanting a pair of shoes and his mother getting them for him, but doing so begrudgingly because she feels that her child "should have more."

"So, while being a privileged child, he feels deprived," the rapper said. "You had everything I didn't have." He said his child support was over a million dollars, and he didn't have a problem with dishing out the money. When asked if he loves his son, Fif answered, "I used to."

"I didn't think that success would cost me my firstborn, but it's the situation it is," he added. "My grandfather used to say, 'If it rattles like a snake and slithers like a snake, is it a snake or do you need to be bit?' What he's saying is, every time you see the boy he show up with somebody you got a problem with. What does that tell you?" 50 Cent added that his son believes that he's his father's enemy, and has gone so far as to take photos with people that Fif has declared adversaries.

Now that his son is going on 23-years-old, Fif sees him as an adult and is holding him accountable for the decisions that he's made. Swipe through below to listen to 50 Cent talking about his son Marquise Jackson in detail.
