Baton Rouge rapper, “22 Savage”, made a ton of headlines last year for his uncanny resemblance to ATL trapper 21 Savage, and his attempt to ride the momentum & wave of the rising star. While the two have gone back & forth on social media several times, 22 Savage has maintained his relevancy solely based off the coat tails of 21, and it appears he’s ready to change that.
Looking to take things a bit more seriously & showcase some true authenticity, 22 Savage decided to hop on Twitter the other day and announce that he will now be known as "Young 22".
It’s unclear why Young 22 had the sudden change of heart, but I think it’s for the better. Peep the announcement (below).
