In an interview with Vogue magazine, 21 explained his decision to swear off jewelry, and his rationale is dare I say, quite respectable, even for a rapper. The interview was staged in preparation of the Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2019 menswear show in NYC he is somehow taking part in. 21 Savage explained that he never met a rich person that was decked out head to toe: "Every time I meet someone who’s very, very rich, like wealthy, I’ve never seen them with jewelry on," he says. "And ever since I’ve been saving money and not spending it on jewelry, I’ve been getting way richer."
