The 2018 American Music Awards are taking place tonight in Los Angeles' Microsoft Theatre. The award show is one of the biggest to celebrate some of the most popular music in America. Tracee Ellis Ross is set to host the event while Cardi B, Ella Mai and more are set to perform.

The nominations for this year's award show is led by hip hop acts. Both Drake and Cardi B are leading the way for the nominations with both of them racking up eight nominations each. They're also going head-to-head against each other in the Artist of The Year, alongside Post Malone, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, as well as the Favorite Artist - Rap/Hip Hop categories.
