Every year, hip hop heads eagerly wait to see which artists they've followed for the past year landed on the XXL Freshman List. It's a polarizing list that sometimes doesn't include some of the artists we believe should have made it. However, it doesn't define the trajectory of someone's career. There's plenty of artists who've impacted the rap game without the cover. Today, 2 Chainz shared several artists who he believes should've made the XXL Freshmen List.
2 Chainz hit Instagram to share his thoughts on the XXL Freshmen List. Like most people, he was a bit shocked to see some of the artists that have made significant waves in the past year make it. Chainz list Lil Baby, Tekashi 6ix9ine, Tee Grizzley, Moneybagg Yo and Youngboy Never Broke Again as some of the artists he feels should've made the cover.
"Where my lil partna @lilbaby_1 , where braazzzy ass @6ix9ine_@tee_grizzley cold asf @moneybaggyo should be on there @nba_youngboy hard asf too should be on there!!" He wrote, "No this cover isn’t the Bible but people respect it, I’m sure I forgot somebody but these ppl I named keep [running] that check up fuck it"

Many other people thought those names would've made the list. Each of the artists 2 Chainz listed had an incredible run within the past year.
