2 Chainz Reveals Lebron James A&R'd "Rap & Go To The League," Release Date

It's officially been over a year since 2 Chainz announced his album Rap Or Go To The League. Fans were expecting it to arrive before the end of 2018 but that wasn't the case. Instead, he released two EPs during that time to hold us over until his album actually dropped. Chainz took to Instagram to announce that he recruited LeBron James to A&R the project as well as the release date.

2 Chainz' new album is set to drop on March 1st. The rapper shared the release date along with news that he got LeBron James to A&R the project. Chainz shared some behind-the-scenes footage of himself and the self-proclaimed "hip-hop historian" chopping it up about the tracklist on Rap Or Go To The League

"It’s been quite the journey to get here and I know I’ve kept y’all waiting long enough. All night studio sessions, dialing in, reflecting & opening up on these records or as I call it therapy! This is my each one teach one body of work, I wanna celebrate black excellence! ..... “Rap Or Go To The League” the album A&R by @kingjames arrives 3/1," 2 Chainz captioned the Instagram post.

The project has 16 tracks but Lebron suggested that they release fourteen on the original project and a few weeks later, release a deluxe version with the two additional songs.
