Like a fine wine, Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz seems to be getting better with age. Coming off the drop of his arguable career-best album Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, many felt that Tity Boi still had stories to tell. In fact, he sounded like a new man, with a sharper flow, a veteran's confidence, and enough pull to score a beat from basically any producer in the game. Suffice it to say, a new 2 Chainz album could be a sleeper hit for 2018's album of the year, so the sooner we can get our hands on it, the better. Luckily, it doesn't seem like we'll have to wait very long.
Last night, 2 Chainz uploaded a preview of a new song on his Instagram feed, along with the caption "NEW SHIT IN A FEW DAYS." The track sounds like an extension of 2 Chainz' iconic trap sound, with an up-tempo, synth driven beat. "I'm a misfit, dipshit, fishstick, sick shit times two, I'm cold, Swine Flu, must I remind you? Bitch!!!" From the sound of it, 2 Chainz is having fun with it, picking up where the "Chloraseptic Remix" left off. While this could be anything from a single to a surprise album, some new Tity Boi is always welcome. Still, I'm sure I'm not alone in holding out hope that he's sitting on a surprise album...perhaps even another one with Lil Wayne.
