Ferguson. The ALS Challenge. Rihanna apparently still banging Drake. "Anaconda" threatening the drown America in thirst. Etc., Etc. There wasn't much new material to come out of the hip-hop community, but the artists still had plenty to talk about and cause controversy over during the past couple of days. The weather might be cooling down, but this summer isn't going away lightly.

There's been a mix of reactions to most of the events except the "Anaconda" video, because of course. Hip-hop — particularly Killer Mike and Talib Kweli — does get props for getting more involved with Ferguson latter in the week, even if Don Lemon almost messed everything up.
