Diplo is a great collaborator. He's collaborated with Switch on Major Lazer before that turned in to a project with Jillionaire and Walshy Fire. He's collaborated with Skrillex most recently on the Jack Ü project. He's collaborated with tons of artists in the hip hop world, along with pop and rock worlds too. He's done work with Justin Bieber, Die Antwoord, Beyonce and Iggy Azealia, and that just shows off his ranger. His best work has been with the likes of M.I.A., 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes, among others.

That's what we're displaying today: Diplo's finest hip hop, rap and R&B productions. This phenomenal collaborator has had a massive impact on the rap world over the past 5 years, and the way things are going means he's just getting warmed up.

Item #1

10 Essential Diplo Productions

M.I.A. - Paper Planes [2007]

10 Essential Diplo Productions

Diplo's first massive hit was a clever take on a sample from punk band The Clash. It was so infectious and polarizing that of T.I., Kanye West, and Jay Z hijacked it for their massive '08 single "Swagga Like Us." The song still has wheels.

Chris Brown - Look At Me Now featuring Lil Wayne & Busta Rhymes [2011]

10 Essential Diplo Productions

Diplo scored his first real big rap single with Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now," a song best known for some epic Busta Rhymes flow.

Usher - Climax [2012]

10 Essential Diplo Productions

Usher's 2012 hit "Climax" was a return-to-form for the R&B superstar. A smooth beat allows for Usher to give one of his greatest vocal performances.

Major Lazer - Get Free ft. Amber of the Dirty Projectors

10 Essential Diplo Productions

Major Lazer is Diplo's group along with Walshy Fire and Jillionaire (it used to be Diplo and Switch). Their first big single was "Get Free," led by Amber Coffman of The Dirty Projectors.

 Lil Wayne - Two Shots

Lil Wayne - Two Shots [2011]

"Two Shots" didn't make it on to the regular retail version of Tha Carter IV, but if you peeped the bonus tracks off the deluxe version, you were lucky enough to dig in to this Diplo-assisted cut. The beat provides a dreamy background to Wayne's super-lazy flow.

Wale - Slight Work featuring Big Sean [2011]

10 Essential Diplo Productions

Wale's Ambition got some Diplo production on it too. As a part of his huge 2011, "Slight Work" was an upbeat dance track on the D.C. MC's Maybach Music debut.

Skrillex And Diplo - Febreze (Feat. 2 Chainz) [2015]

10 Essential Diplo Productions

Jack Ü is Diplo's newest project with Skrillex. The two just released their debut full-length album, and this was one of the hottest tracks on it. An absolutely insane beat with 2 Chainz' flow is pretty much perfect for what it is.

Psy - Gangnam Style (Diplo Remix featuring 2 Chainz & Tyga) [2012]

10 Essential Diplo Productions

Psy's single may or may not have annoyed you, but this remix is absolutely massive. 2 Chainz bodies the verse in one of the craziest remixes you could ever ask for.

Major Lazer - Pon De Floor [2009]

10 Essential Diplo Productions

"Pon De Floor" set dance-floors on fire in 2009. The hype carried over to 2010 and when Beyonce used the track for "Run the World (Girls)" it gave the track a brand new breathe.

Jack Ü - Take Ü There (feat. Kiesza) (Missy Elliott Remix) [2015]

10 Essential Diplo Productions

This is the bonus cut off the newest project. The original was a huge song in the EDM world and then Missy Elliott made it everyone's favorite party rap track of the moment. She crushed it!
