10 Essential Bishop Nehru Tracks

Bishop Nehru is one of the young guns coming up in the hip-hop world. With enough respect to have a collaboration project with MF Doom, a tour with Wu-Tang Clan and airtime on Hot 97, it's safe to say that he is in a position to blow up.

He's done this without the help of pop hooks and DJ Mustard production, making his success a story of artistry rather than mainstream mumbo-jumbo. He was, however, one of the first rappers to pair with Disclosure when their garage-revival sound was breaking in the US. 

So what is it about the New York rapper that is helping him carve his niche in the game? A mix of 90s-revival and cool style helping to fill that nostalgic void like Joey Bada$$ is filling, and the two are often compared. 

The opening scene of the "Fickle Minds" music video is a journey over the Williamsburg Bridge, from Brooklyn to Manhattan. A perfect way to introduce you to the NYC-based MC.

When MF Doom and Bishop Nehru team up, the result is dynamite. One of the best projects of 2014 was the product of an 18 year old up-and-comer and a 43 year old undergound legend. Who would have thought?

Disclosure is pretty vocal about their love for J Dilla's work. This beat definitely shows that the two young Brits are in to that boom-bap hip-hop style, and the beat works incredibly well with Bishop's flow. It would be insane if we had a Disclosure x Bishop Nehru collaboration project in the near future!
