At a tender yet seasoned age, Zion has already proven to be exceptionally adaptable and an extremely quick study in various forms of art and sport.
Beginning in 2007, while fully engaged in three different sporting seasons, Zion became intrigued by conversations about his Grandma Gloria whom he never had the chance to meet. The mystery of this clearly dynamic woman created a spark and Zion began to write. His writing began to rhyme, his rhyme was set to music, and Z-DUB was born.
With his new found talent Zion began to do what he had always done, study and perfect. He studied DJ’s, MC’s, and musicians and started performing for family functions to rave reviews. With limited resources and unlimited imagination Zion fashioned a make shift yet functional studio in his bedroom under his loft bed.
A natural charismatic leader, Zion formed a group called BWS(boys with swag) and they performed at a talent show in Pennsgrove, NJ. BWS ripped the stage and wowed the crowd to “Walking With My Chucks On”, written and arranged by Z-DUB.
Zion and his cousins performed “I Want You Back” as “The Jackson Five” at an amateur night in Chester, PA., with Zion leading the way as Michael. The captivating rendition drew a standing ovation and the group was called for an encore.
Zion’s swag and talent was on full display again at a teen showcase hosted by Master Blaster at Widener University and again the crowd stood amazed at this small person with tall talent.
With his passion fully focused and engulfed in the rap game, Z-DUB continues to write, create, arrange, record and perfect his craft.
