Gucci Mane "St. Brick Intro" Video
Could The Return of East Atlanta turn out to be Gucci Mane's best album of 2016? It is certainly the most festive. "St. Brick Intro" and "Drove U Crazy" feat. Bryson Tiller both bode well for the album. This morning, Gucci released a spirited video for "St.
Kid Red "Gutta" Video
Kid Red has dropped a couple of big-time collabs this year, including April's "Bounce," featuring Migos and Chris Brown, as well as "Juggin' & Juggin'," featuring French Montana and Quavo, a new track off his latest mixtape, last month's Guilty By Association (which also included "Bounce" as well as additional features from Skeme, Lil Duke, and Mozzy). He's now highlighting one of the top solo joints off the project, "Gutta," by giving the Zaytoven-produced track a new video.
Shy Glizzy "Out The Block" Video
Trap has expanded its borders beyond the South, and there are now artists contributing to the genre from all over the country. As for the best trap producers, though, almost all of them are still situated in Atlanta. D.C.'s Shy Glizzy has earned his spot as a reliable trapper, and it's no accident that he's been vetted by many of the top ATL producers, including Zaytoven, with whom he teamed up for a joint tape, For Trappers Only, last year.
Future Feat. Drake "Used To This" Video
Future Feat. Drake
Typically when an artist releases a new song in visual form, we usually just post it as a song OR video and leave it at that, but when that artist happens to be Drake & Future, you best believe we’re posting it in both sections. On Friday morning, the Freebandz Gang leader decided to release a new single & accompanying video with the 6 God, Drake, called “Used To This,” which serves as the first offering from his Beast Mode 16 project with Zaytoven.
Plies "Rich Nigga Shit" Video
Classical music plays as viewers are welcomed into Plies' Victorian estate in the new "Rich N*gga Shit" video. The pianos are then handed over to Zaytoven and out walks Plies in a full jockey's outfit, a fitting getup for his famous "Ran Off on Da Plug Twice" tip-toe dance. The riding boots inspire him to get extra fancy with his footwork. "Every day I wake up on rich n*gga shit," he raps many times over.
London Jae Feat. B.o.B "BDTDT" Video
London Jae Feat. B.o.B
The No Genre duo of London Jae and B.o.B. have connected for the video to "BDTDT," the Zaytoven-produced track they dropped in November that soon appeared on their joint NASA mixtape. It's surprising just how big the song has become, considering its title is an onomatopoeia that represents the sound of the fast life. The sound effect will make sense once you see the new video, which shows London and B.o.B. turning way up while lights flash around them and a baddie grinds up on 'em.
Gucci Mane "Waybach" Video
Gucci Mane's new album, Everybody Looking, dropped late last night, and it's sounding like some of the best work of his career. Everybody was eagerly awaiting his return; few could've guessed he would hit the ground running like he has. While fans are still getting acquainted with his first official album in over five years, Gucci has gone ahead and dropped a new video to "Waybach," the single he shared earlier this week.
2 Chainz & Lil Wayne "MFN Right (Remix)" Video
2 Chainz & Lil Wayne
The duo of 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne has returned with the video to "MFN Right," a standout track off their joint ColleGrove album, one of the year's best projects. The new video is actually to the remix of "MFN Right," which dropped about a month after ColleGrove. "MFN Right" was a solo Tity Boi track on both ColleGrove as well as his January mixtape, Felt Like Cappin. The simmering production comes from another prestigious duo, Mike Will Made-It and Zaytoven.
Gucci Mane & Zaytoven Preview A New Collaboration
Gucci Mane & Zaytoven
Gucci Mane and Zaytoven linked up only a few days after Guwop was released from prison, but so far, they haven't released any new music. Today, they've confirmed that some new material has been recording, rapping along to a track on IG rather excitedly. No word on when the full song will actually make it's way out, but we're hoping its sometime soon.
Watch Metro Boomin, Zaytoven & Sonny Digital's Beatmakers Round Table Lecture
Metro Boomin, Zaytoven & Sonny Digital
In many ways Atlanta is the most active city in rap right now, and much of that has to do with the prolific and boundary-pushing stable of producers in the city. In a new Red Bull lecture, three of the most well-known beatmakers in the city join rap writer Andrew Noz to talk about their city's creative community, and their respective catalogues.
Young Dolph "How Could" Video
Young Dolph has dropped more videos in 2016 than just about anyone. And these aren't low-budget releases, either. His latest vid is for the Zaytoven-produced track "How Could," off his new album, King of Memphis.
21 Savage "Dip Dip" Video
21 Savage has dropped a video to the track "Dip Dip," off December's Slaughter King mixtape, which granted him a lot of exposure outside of his native Atlanta. "Dip Dip" is one of Savage's more low-key tracks, with more of a focus on his charisma than his fearsome aggression, but the track, produced by Zaytoven, can definitely do damage in the club, especially when it comes time for the hook.
Bankroll Fresh "Poppin Shit" Video
Bankroll Fresh has provided a visual to a track off his self-titled project that dropped at the end of November. "Poppin Shit" is produced by Zaytoven, who is the first to appear in the new video, sitting at the piano effortlessly crafting a smooth jazz melody. Fresh starts rapping, the trap drums come in, and the viewer is taken to an underground club where everyone is donning the most dapper of Prohibition-era attire.
Yo Gotti Feat. Fetty Wap "Tell Me" Video
Yo Gotti Feat. Fetty Wap
Yo Gotti had a stellar latter half to 2015, dropping two mixtapes, The Return and Any Hood America. The former provided a few more hits, starting with "Down in the DM," which has proven to be the biggest track of Gotti's career. The Return also contained a collab with Fetty Wap, "Tell Me," that boasts surprisingly poppy production from Zaytoven. It's surprising "Tell Me" hasn't quite followed the success of "Down in the DM" yet, but the new video should take it to new heights.
Rich The Kid Feat. Wiz Khalifa "Dab Fever" Video (Prod. Zaytoven)
Rich The Kid Feat. Wiz Khalifa
Society has come down with an acute case of Dab Fever, not to be confused with Dengue Fever. That is the subject matter at hand on Rich the Kid's "Dab Fever" feat.
BWA Kane Feat. Kevin Gates "While She Talkin" Video
BWA Kane Feat. Kevin Gates
We're less than two weeks away from the release of Kevin Gates' debut album, Islah, which should take him to new heights in the rap game. Another one of Gates' goals for this year will be to earn some shine for his BreadWinners crew and label.
Shy Glizzy "Winning" Video
Following last month's "No Sleep," Shy Glizzy has dropped another visual off his underrated collab mixtape with Zaytoven, For Trappers Only, released at the end of September. The new "Winning" video takes viewers to Glizzy's home hood in D.C., stunting everywhere from rooftops to abandoned warehouses, always avoiding the spiteful gaze of the neighborhood police.
EZ Mac Feat. Veli Sosa "Dope Boy" Video (Prod. By Zaytoven) (Heatseekers)
Zaytoven is on quite a tear right now, producing countless hits for the likes of Future an Migos over the last couple of years. EZ Mac is the latest rapper to work with the ATL beatmaker, and his nasally drawl is as perfect a match for the producer's bouncy pan-flute sounds as any of his other collaborators. Today he's shared the video for his track "Dope Boy," which features Veli Sosa and appears on his Mactavis mixtape.
Migos "Say So" Video (Prod. Zaytoven)
For their latest video off of recent mixtape Back to the Bando, Migos heads to legendary Atlanta strip club Magic City. They get there around 7 PM and don't leave until 4:30 in the morning, when the party continues back in their trailer (ladies must twerk if they want to get in).
21 Savage "Woah" Video (Prod. Zaytoven)
21 Savage has had the opportunity to work with some of the best producers in Atlanta -- he dropped a collaborative tape with Sonny Digital called Free Guwop, and his most recent video tackles "Woah," which appeared on his Slaughter Tape and featured the production of Zaytoven.
