Simmie and Purp Dogg team up on the opening track from "Simmie Season 2."

Purp Dogg has proven himself as a producer to watch through his work on hits like Soulja Boy's "We Made It" (later remixed by Drake) and Rob $tone's recent hit "Chill Bill." While those records are his more well known productions, Purp has been regularly working with more underground artists like Florida's Cashy and Simmie. Simmie just released his Simmie Season 2 mixtape, and Purp has a couple of productions on it, including the opening track, "Underground King," where he and Purp find the sweet spot between their respective styles. Purp supplies a slow creep of an instrumental, driven forward by a recurring tone, sustained over a simple drum beat. Simmie meanwhile fills the spaces within the beat, rapping with a stylish precision that drips with personality.

Quotable Lyrics:
All I smoke is gas
These n*ggas broke
Money in the stash
I be bout my cash
You don't wanna race
I can't come in last
I kill 'em with the swag
I make a hater mad
