Out of Miami, Florida, Yung Simmie's made waves over the years with the continuous stream of music he delivers. He may not be as popular as some of the other artists out of Florida right now but he's had an influenced on the sound coming out of the state these days. Earlier in the month, he dropped off his Big Smokey project which was actually the last album he had in his contract with Raider Klan. Today, he brings us a new video off of the project with "Slums" featuring Johnny Hopkins.
Simmie gives us a tour of Carol City's slums on his latest video. The video features Yung Simmie giving us a tour of his stomping grounds from his perspective. It opens up with Johnny Hopkins delivering his verse before Simmie takes over the rest. The video bounces back and forth between day and night while showing the dichotomy between the beauty of Miami as well as the dark realities of the city.
In an exclusive quote to HNHH, he said "Slums was shot where I’m from carol city and opa locka the slums."
Despite the fact that he just dropped an album at the top of the month, Yung Simmie isn't looking to slow down. Big Smokey is the only project he's dropped in 2017. However, he seems to have more music to deliver in the near future.
"I got another project dropping before the year ends, I’m back on my 3B shit!" he told us.
So it's safe to say that he has some work in the cut and there won't be any shortage of music coming from Yung Simmie. No word on when exactly the project will be released but if it has any similarities to his previous work, we know it's going to be fire.
