Following the success of Fetty Wap, there are a lot more eyes on New Jersey, and 23-year-old Newark rapper Yung Jules might be a good place to start looking. Jules cites Will Smith as his main musical inspiration, but we can't say we hear any Big Willy Style in his new record, "Change Up". Instead, we get a hypnotic xylophone riff, that gives way to a buzzing sub-bassline. In closing some backwards synth chords color the arrangement. It's a great first impression, and will have us checking for Jules' upcoming material.
