Top Tracks: October 10 - October 16
Last week gave us Gucci Mane's second album of the year, Woptober, The Game's 1992, and Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge (aka NxWorries)' Yes Lawd!, and we've still got projects from D.R.A.M., Joe Budden, Common, and Jeezy dropping soon, but it feels like it's been a while since any major releases have arrived.

Young Thug & TM88 Seem To Be Working On A Joint EP
TM88 has spent a good percentage of 2016 on tour with Young Thug. It appears that they've found time to put together a joint EP. As Reddit user DroughtIsntOver points out, photographer Walter Brady spilled the beans about the joint EP in a photo of TM posted to Instagram early Monday morning. "Posted, about to shoot TM & thugs EP cover. 3 in the morning type shit. Slight work," Brady wrote. He added the Juicy J opened the studio at 2 AM so that they could shoot.

Wyclef Jean Calls Young Thug A "Modern Tupac"
The opening track on Young Thug's latest project, Jeffery, is called "Wyclef Jean," perhaps partly due to its reggae influence. Wyclef Jean himself shows up on the project's final song, which is, for reasons not entirely clear, entitled "Kanye West." Speaking to Pigeons & Planes, the 46-year-old Fugees singer and emcee explains how Thugger had reached out for them to work together and how their Jeffery collab eventually came about. Since their first meeting, Thug and Wyclef have developed a close rapport.
Top Tracks: October 3 - October 9
Barring The Weeknd's Starboy and any late-year surprises, we don't seem to have a whole lot coming on the release calendar as fall settles in. Gucci Mane's Woptober, Anderson .Paak and Knxledge's Yes Lawd! under their Nxworries title, and D.R.A.M.'s debut album Big Baby D.R.A.M. are all coming later this month, but compared to the summer we just had, that's small potatoes.

10 Essential Mike WiLL Made-It Beats
If 2015 was the year of Metro Boomin, 2016 might go down as the year of Mike WiLL Made-It. On top of executive production credits on Gucci Mane's Everybody Looking and Rae Sremmurd's SremmLife 2, the Atlanta-based producer has put out two Beat of the Year candidates in Young Thug's "F Cancer" and "With Them" and produced Beyonce's "Formation," arguably the biggest record of the last twelve months. He has given rap fans more than enough to chew on as they impatiently wait on his anticipated Ransom 2 mixtape.

Young Thug's Instagram Account Hacked
In similar fashion to last night, where we saw J Cole’s twitter account get hacked, it looks like Young Thug’s is the latest victim of another hacking incident, only except his came on Instagram Tuesday night.

Gucci Mane & Young Thug Cover XXL
If there's a rapper that's popped off, about to pop off, or currently popping off in Atlanta, you can guarantee there's some sort of Gucci Mane connection. GuWop has been instrumental in helping many Atlanta trappers get their rap careers off the ground, often co-signing these dudes before it's cool to co-sign them. Young Thug among them.
Drake Brings Out Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Big Sean, & French Montana In L.A.
Drake added to the absurd list of rappers, singers, and athletes he's brought out over the course of the Summer Sixteen tour. Thursday night, during the last of three concerts, at Inglewood's Los Angles Forum, he outdid himself once again by bringing out Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Big Sean, & French Montana. Big Sean joined Drake on "All Me" and French joined Drake on "No Shopping," but the clear highlights of the evening came when hometown heroes Ice Cube and Dr. Dre brought the house down with "You Can Do It" and "The Next Episode."

Young Thug Apologizes To Future For "Internet Arguments"
Atlanta's two leading men are back on good terms, and the city is thriving because of it. Tensions between Future and Young Thug flared -- perhaps a natural result of healthy competition -- about a year ago. The feud first caught the public's eye after Thug took issue with a tweet of Metro Boomin's that warned other rappers not to attempt to emulate Future's work ethic. A few days later, Metro confirmed that the squabble had been put to rest, and indeed, this year Thug and Future have proven not only to make amends but also to develop a strong rapport both in and out of the studio.

Future & Young Thug Cook Up Some Fire In The Studio
About a year ago, there existed some tension between Future and Young Thug. The feud was thankfully short-lived and, in reality, not too surprising considering that they stood as the top two artists in Atlanta at the time. Luckily, healthy competition seemed to be the diagnosis, and this year, Thug and Future -- still No. 1 and 2 in Atlanta (the order is very much up for dispute) -- have made amends and, as proven by a couple of new Instagram videos, reinvigorated their collaborative partnership.
Behind The Beat: Goose
When one hears “Goose wit another one,” expect to experience the full star quality of whatever rapper comes on the track. Goose has spent much of his young career alongside two particular stars, Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan, whom came to fame together as the duo known as Rich Gang, which dissolved in early 2015. Goose was there for most of Rich Gang’s regrettably short-lived takeover, assisting in the production of several songs on the Birdman-hosted tape, Tha Tour: Part 1, now hailed as a classic.

Ralo Explains How He Got Over His Beef With Young Thug
Listening to Ralo's new mixtape, Diary Of The Streets 2, you'd never assume that he and Young Thug had beef in the past. Not only does Thugger appear on multiple songs, but the two have a very similar vocal approach -- a high register snarl that gives them an instant chemistry on record. However, it took a mutual friend to get the two Atlanta rappers to see eye to eye, as Ralo explained in our recent interview.
