Picture Kurt Martin Jr (born October, 27 1991), better known by the stage name Young-Rich, is an American rapper based in State College, Pennsylvania. He released his debut mixtape, The Notebook, in 2006, and was offered a mixtape deal with Slip-N-Slide Records in 2009. His R&B influenced single, " Love You Down", received major Myspace plays, as well as major radio airplay. Early life Rich was born on October 27, 1991 in Trenton, NJ. Rich his mother and younger brother moved to State College when Rich was the age of 13. His childhood neighborhood caused the family to move. Rich has been influenced by artists such as Bone Thugz N harmony, Beanie sigel, Slick Rick, and the Notorious B.I.G. His stage name comes from his middle name Richard, when Rich was younger his nick name was lil-rich, he took the lil and made it Young. Career Rich released his second mixtape, the The Takeover in 2007. The mixtape reached sales in the thousands. Rich gained much exposure off of his second mixtape that he was asked by his school to perform at a school event. From there things started to take off for Rich, Rich started to reach out and got the chance to open for Pittsburghs own Wiz Khalifa. In 2009 he released a EP titled 609 Swag which he used as a promotional tool to gain more fans. Rich has just released his new mixtape which he titled The L@yover and is hoping this mixtape will push him into a bigger market.
