Young Cypher Songs

  • Freedom
    Freedom
Young Cypher drops an extremely timely track in "Freedom". While this track is definitely timely with MLK day recently passing and the MLK speeches used as intermissions, (done most likely by Amerika, who produced the track) unfortunately, the subject matter is timely as well, as the issues Young Cypher speaks on facing are still prevalent, regardless of the fight and effort put forth by people like Martin Luther King over 40 years ago.
  • CoCo (Freestyle)
    CoCo (Freestyle)
Just when you thought O.T. Genasis had reached it's peak, another freestyle rolls in. On top of spawning countless remixes, "CoCo"'s latest claim to fame is causing Busta Rhymes to wile out so hard that he fell off stage and broke his head open. Turns out, he was just happy that a piece of music moved him to that level of chaos, of which he said hasn't happened in years (though The Conglomerate connection surely renders him a bit biased).
  • The 01' Ville Story
    The 01' Ville Story
The late R&B/soul legend Curtis Mayfield has had his discography mined for samples by everyone from The Beastie Boys to Kanye West, and most times a hip-hop track is built around one of them, it's better for it. Young Cypher joins the ranks of those who have benefited second-hand from Mayfield's compositional genius, as he samples the singer's "We The People Who Are Darker Than Blue" for his new track "The 01' Ville Story." Cypher writes on SoundCloud:
  • Time Is Set
    Time Is Set
It's been over a year since we received Young Cypher's last project, The Unexpected, but the rapper has been hard at work with the follow-up since. The Unexpected 2 is set to drop next week, and today, Cypher shares an introspective new track called "Time Is Set".
  • Milli Dreamin
    Milli Dreamin
What would you do if you woke up and had a million dollars? That's the question up-and-comer Young Cypher poses at the start of his latest release "Milli Dreamin." An insightful cut from the Atlanta rapper, the song is currently attached to The Unexpected 2 mixtape dropping later this month. Cypher's original Unexpected tape, meanwhile, is available for your ears right now.
  • Same Bitch
    Same Bitch
We saw Young Cypher team up with producer Ricky Racks at the beginning of March for the cut "Fugazzi" and the duo have partnered up once more for another new leak, "Same Bitch." For this one, Cypher calls upon a Brick Squad D. Dash. The two spit about their lady problems: fucking the "Same Bitch" and not trusting a hoe. Words of wisdom?
  • Fugazzi
    Fugazzi
"Fugazzi" is the latest in a string of impressive outings by the Young Cypher. This time around we have Chris Millz featured on this track produced by Ricky Racks.  In the words of Matthew McConaughey in Scorsese's "Wolf of Wall Street" film, a fugzazzi, (or as it's conventionally spelled, fugazi) is "a wazy. It's a woozie. It's fairy dust." Meaning it's a sham, or rather fake.
