Young Thug confirmed that he is changing his name to "No, My Name Is Jeffery" in an interview on Travis Scott's .WAV Beats 1 show. The silver lining: the name change is temporary.
"I'm Jeffery for one fucking week," he said. "If I don’t sell a 100,000 copies."
Young Thug is on the verge of releasing his Jeffery mixtape, which now sounds like it will be sold on iTunes and be available on streaming platforms. Though Lyor Cohen has insisted that it is coming out on August 26th, Thug is still implying that it is coming out today, August 16.
When Scott said that he will record his verse tonight, Thug added "This motherfucker gonna be held back six hours for Travis Scott."
Scott's own Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight is due out on August 26th.
