Jeezy was reportedly arrested Friday for battery, false imprisonment, and making terroristic threats. The charges stem from an alleged incident in 2012 in which Jeezy got into a physical altercation with his son.
Apparently the ATL rapper and his son got into a fight in a bathroom, which resulted in Jeezy throwing his kid through a glass shower door, and caused him to hit his head. Jeezy then apparently punched him in the face, before dragging him into a bedroom and further beating him on a bed.
According to documents, the rapper then threatened his son, saying, "I will kill you," while choking the boy. He continued his threats later on, exclaiming, "I will put a bullet in your head right now... If I could get away with it, I would kill you."
Jeezy is reported to have turned himself in following a warrant being issued for the charges. He was released shortly thereafter on $45,000 bond.
The rapper's attorney is confident that the issues will be resolved. "We have no doubt this matter will resolve itself appropriately," he told TMZ. "At this moment, Mr. Jenkins is thankful for the support of his fans and the respect for his family's privacy."
[UPDATE: New Details Surface On Jeezy's Interaction With His Son]
Following the news yesterday that Jeezy allegedly threatened and beat up his son back in 2012, TMZ has done some digging by talking to "sources" which shed some more light on the incident.
Sources connected to Jeezy say that the cause of all this drama is his baby mama, Tenesha Dykes. Jeezy reportedly did get into an argument with his 17-year old son, Jadarius, in September 2012, however it was not extremely violent.
According to TMZ, the fight started when Jeezy told his son he turned into a punk kid with an attitude and he no longer wanted him to stay at his house. A yelling match ensued, but Jeezy never hit, choked, or dragged his son, although he apparently did shove him to the ground at one point. While it was reported that Jeezy threatened to kill his son, it's likely he said something to the effect of "I brought you into this world and I can take you out of it."
Apparently Tenesha Dykes is stirring up issues between her son and Jeezy so she can get a big pay day.
