Young Dolph downplayed his beef with Yo Gotti in a recent interview.

Young Dolph and Yo Gotti's beef escalated when the former dropped the diss track "Play Wit Yo Bitch." Dolph even clowned a Yo Gotti doppelganger in the video. When HiphopDX caught up with him in L.A. though, Dolph downplayed the beef.

"That’s old news," he said. "It’s old. I just got time to play with it. I didn’t have time to play with it first. I found a little time to play with it."

Last week, the Gelato rapper survived a shooting in Charlotte. While heading to the CIAA Tournament weekend in North Carolina, shooters rained 100 bullets on his SUV. He later bragged on social media, saying nothing can stop him. In the interview, he deflected questions about whether the attempted murder was in some way related to his beef with Yo Gotti.

"What you talking about," Dolph said. "I don’t know what you’re talking about."

The Paper Route Empire label boss said many new artists are coming out of Memphis and he's helping the scene grow.
