Young Chop is best known as one of the architect’s of Chicago’s Drill scene, but he’s talented with the pen too. Today we’ve got the lead single from his upcoming King Chop album, titled “Just Do Me.”
Chop keeps things subdued on the track, casually declaring he cannot be bothered by outside forces. Young Chop steps away from the ones and twos for “Just Do Me,” letting one of his proteges Young J lace him with a menacing but muted beat. The bouncy 808s and plentiful ad libs created an infectious, head-nodding sound.
