Daniel Rattner (also known as YOMP) is an electronic/pop/dance/glitch hop artist and producer who born in Pearl River, New York. After moving to northern then southern Vermont, he ended up moving to Richmond, VA, where he is currently based in. He started playing around with music when he was 9 years old under the name “Meon Pooj,” but on January 1, 2012 he changed his name to YOMP and started working on his debut production album entitled “Faceless.” On the same day of his name change, he also started his production company, Rattner Productions. Within a year he had two artists, Aaron Tran and [C] Flow, signed and working with him. On October 2, 2012 he released his first mixtape “Ray Ban Vision.” In addition to making music, he also branched out into different fields. In October of 2012, he started a clothing printing business called “Unofficial Clothing” with the other co-founder Zachary Carroll. He also opened up a design company called “Genius Designs” that designed everything that had to do with YOMP and Unofficial. Via Unofficial Clothing and Genius Designs, YOMP announced his specific clothing line called “EYE,” which is currently available.
