This weekend, YG came through with the music video to accompany the stacked “Big Bank” track, featuring an all-star roster of 2 Chainz, Big Sean, and Nicki Minaj.
The full clip was packed to the brim with dynamism and this weekend as all four stars were among those in Los Angeles' Microsoft Theatre for the 2018 BET Awards, they made sure to keep that same energy onstage for a live rendition of the cut.
Preceded by a solo set in which Nicki Minaj would run through her “Chun-Li” and “Rich Sex” singles, to be found on her forthcoming Queen album, YG would soon appear onstage for a segue into “Big Bank” in a lavish set before Sean and Chainz came through.
Undergoing a quick set and wardrobe change, Nick would reappear onstage in a set that mimicked the backdrop she commanded during the video as she positioned herself atop a pink plastic horse to come through with her verse.
“Big Bank” is set to appear on YG’s upcoming Stay Dangerous album, and while no official announcement has arrived of the album’s date, during his opening performance alongside Nipsey Hussle at the start of the awards show, YG casually told the crowd, “Stay Dangerous August 3rd” quickly before vacating the stage.
As the west coast emcee has a Stay Dangerous show billed for August 5th at the Microsoft Theatre, though, the projected date seems about right. But, YG hasn’t failed us yet. So, we’ll keep that date bookmarked for now.
