When Yelawolf dropped off "Till It's Gone," the lead single from his upcoming album Love Story, the country rock influence that had been lurking in his music since day one finally came to the forefront. That continues to be the case with the next single, which is entitled "American You."

This time, the song bears an almost uncanny resemblance to Van Morrison's "Crazy Love" (but plesase don't go scrambling for your copyright lawyers, Van, we're tired of that shit). The Slumerican begins things acoustically, and then splices in a nice, slo-mo beat to keep things at least tangentially related to hip-hop.

Quotable Lyrics

You gotta blue collar father
Who drink Budweiser out the bottle
Twenty dollars, an old Impala
A baby's momma
