As the YBN crew continues to become more known, each member is distinguishing themselves in different ways. YBH Nahmir for bring the Bay Area sound to Alabama, YBN Almighty Jay for his trap raps, and now YBN Cordae, for his plain-speaking raps that echo old school style. His breakout hit "Old N*ggas," a direct response to J. Cole's "1985," used the style of lyrical rap to explain the differences between generations.

In his new track, "Fighting Temptations," YBN shifts his target to the generation that he was defending not that long ago. He goes after our generation's propensity for pill popping, designer shopping, and unprotected sex. YBN Cordae has a plan for the future, and he won't be distracted these things of little consequence.

He doesn't dismantle his peers as much as he did the old heads, and the song runs just over two minutes. The beat flips every part of a blues track, from the riffs, to the vocals, to the slide guitar, and gives Cordae the perfect base to teach us all a lesson. The song will be featured on the upcoming YBN mixtape "Young Boss N*ggas," that's supposedly coming soon.

Quotable Lyrics

Made a couple transactions, feel fantastic
That retail therapy is just a scam tactic
A new wave, a new slaves to the brand package
My gas be Supreme, not a damn jacket
