Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) seems to be building around the theme of Dec 99th. Today, he's shared a new record titled "Dec 99th – Tall Sleeves," which follows his previous release of "Dec 99th – N.A.W.". So far, he hasn't given any explanation into what these songs might have in common, or be leading towards, but the best case scenario is probably a new project. The new track is funky and experimental, but just focused enough to showcase Bey's talents, as he rides the futuristic groove with a variety of vocal deliveries, whether they be meandering falsetto, rhythmic singing, or more conventional bars.
