Before he died, XXXTentacion revealed that he had been working on three consecutive albums: ?, Skins, and Bad Vibes Forever. Today, X's mother and her team has ensured that Skins became a reality, becoming the rapper's third solo studio album in two years.

Of course, the release will likely evoke a bittersweet response from fans, who have been anticipating the album since "Bad!" dropped at the beginning of November. Now, Skins is upon us, clocking in at a brief yet welcome ten tracks. Though X had no shortage of close collaborators, including Ski Mask The Slump God and Joey Bada$$ to name a few, the lone feature comes from Kanye West.

Today, X fans should take comfort in the fact that the young rapper's music has been made available, as it's likely what he would have wanted. Say what you will about the man, but those who watched his videos know that he valued his fanbase, and made sure to put the music first. It might not be his vision exactly as intended, but Skins should be more than enough for those still in mourning. Rest in peace, X.
