In a new video interview, Jenesis Sanchez, the mother of XXXTentacion's son, reveals that the rapper only found out two weeks before his death that he was going to become a father. XXXTentacion and Jenesis had been dating for a while before she got pregnant, preferring to stay in their home because of the increased media attention. Jenesis says that they even went so far as to go grocery shopping at midnight to avoid the constant stares. X brought along a lot of controversies, being accused by a former girlfriend of domestic violence. His son, Gekyume Onfroy, was born a few weeks ago and today, Gekyume makes his official TV debut for a local news interview.

Jenesis holds her newborn baby as she speaks about her late boyfriend. She explains what the original word Gekyume means. "Gekyume means different state or universe of thought," says Jenesis. "And yes, Jahseh did pick out this name before he passed away. He also had a name for a girl." If the couple were to have a girl, they would have named her Xiorra.
Because of all the controversy surrounding XXXTentacion, Sanchez wasn't even supposed to leave the house for the birth of Gekyume. However, after spending over a day in labor, she needed to have an emergency C-section surgery. In the interview, Jenesis' tattoo of Jahseh's name on her neck is in full view of the camera.
