Fans are buzzing off the announcement of new music coming from two rappers who have recently passed away. XXXTentacion and Lil Peep will both be featured on a track called "Falling Down." Amidst the mixed feelings about the posthumous release, iLoveMakonnen shares his personal thoughts on the collaboration.

One of his Instagram posts bears an intimate caption that details his reasons for wanting to release the single after his friends' passing.

"I am honoured to have co written this song that X was inspired to be a part of, shortly before he died.
Peep and I always believed that music heals and brings people together in a way nothing else can.
When I heard X’s recording, talking about my dear friend Peep I could not wait any longer to share this. @lilpeep@xxxtentacion coming ASAP!!!!"

The caption is attached to a sound recording that seems to feature X's voice speaking on a relationship that could have been fruitful. Although he isn't named, it's likely the recording refers to Lil Peep.

"His name will live, bro. If I would have known he was so cool, I would have fucked with him sooner. It’s unfortunate ‘cause it’s like yo when people die, that’s when you like, you know? Your remorse kind of makes you check them out. It was like yo, if I would have watched the interview sooner, bro, we were so alike. And like it kind of almost bothers me cause like, I was talking to Nick—Nick told me like, ‘Yo, the last time before he died, when he was down here bro, he was asking about you bro.’ And that to me was like, ‘Yo are you serious?’ ‘Yeah, he was asking like how are you? What type of person you are. Do you stay down here?’ Are you serious? Yeah. So that to me was like hella like weird. It’s divine to me."
