Over the years Willow Smith has revealed a little bit here and there about things she's gone through with her parents especially with the whole "Whip My Hair" thing. The 2010 song was seemingly not a move she wanted to do but her parents ushered her into the fame and industry before she even knew who she was.
On the latest episode of Red Table Talk, Willow talked even more about the topic since the theme was forgiveness. “I definitely had to forgive you and daddy for that whole ‘Whip My Hair’ thing. It was mostly daddy because he was so harsh at certain times,” the 18-year-old said. “It was a couple of years, honestly. Trying to regain trust for not feeling like I was being listened to or like no one cared how I felt.”
She added: “And I had to forgive myself because I felt guilty because everyone is trying to make me better, trying to make my dream. But I didn’t really understand what my dream entailed."
We don't think we'll ever know the serious happenings that took place behind the scenes and why Willow has taken her time in forgiving her parents, but now that forgiveness has taken over, the Smith family is seemingly stronger than ever.
